My fun Emma

Emma has been so fun and so excited for the baby. She tells everyone she meets that she is going to be a BIG SISTER! She still wants a baby sister, but is happy to be having a baby brother for now. Last week we started a new preschool. She was super excited and is doing well. I'm hoping its a good preschool for her and she continues to do well.

 

Here she is under her name for her hook to keep her stuff on.

 

 

The past couple of nights she has wanted to sleep in her tent. We set it up in her room. She loves it. I didn't think she would make it the whole night. Not only did she sleep the whole night, she slept in until 8!

 



Baby Shower!!!

My baby shower was last night. It was fun to get together with friends and ladies in the ward. Kaysi Webster, Madelyn Dustin, and Cailin Blasi threw me a great shower. We played a couple of fun games, Cailin gave a really nice little spiritual thought. They made some awesome yummy food. At the last minute I decided to bring Emma with me. We had a long talk about her being a big girl and being good at the party. It turns out she had a couple of her friends there so she had a great time! My friend Elenna and I took a lot of candid pictures.

Emma had so much fun helping me open gifts. She loves everything for the baby and is so excited. She was so cute the way she was oohing and ahhhing at everything.

Quick Baby Update!

 

On Tuesday we drove over to the Dr. My blood pressure was a little high so I'm supposed to be resting when I can. It seems easier said than done. Hopefully things will be okay.

Pumpkin Patch Fun!

We had a great time on Saturday! Our plan was to go to a farm with a pumpkin patch and all of the fun things that go along with that. Then, we found this nursery with all of these fun activities that was completely free. Emma was able to paint and decorate a pumpkin. She had a great time!

They had a fun little petting zoo. Emma was all about the ponies. She really was not interested in the other animals. When she saw those ponies that's all she cared about.

The rest of the day we ran a few errands. I even did some early Christmas shopping for Emma. With the baby coming right before Christmas I feel like I need to get things done early this year. We quickly went to Home Depot, Target, and Once Upon a Child. I love any chance I have to do any shopping. When you live in Rawlins it happens few and far between. 

Our Weekend

 

We had a busy fun weekend. Our Anniversary was on Sunday. We decided to celebrate on Friday night.  Our plan was go to dinner at an Italian restaurant in Saratoga, but since it was snowing like crazy we decided to stay in town. We went to a restaurant here in town called the Aspen House. We have been there for work stuff with Robert, but never by ourselves. It was really nice to go on a real date. Then we went to see the movie Gravity.

 

 

 

It was a pretty cool movie in 3D. It is definitely one you want to see in 3D. It was fun to get out and spend time together. I meant to take pictures all night, but didn't take any until right after we got home. The lighting is terrible, but I wanted to document our 7th anniversary!

 

 

 

 

Then the rest of the weekend was General Conference! We get to have church in our pajamas and watch at home! I love that! The talks were great. It's always hard to pick my favorite. There were so many great messages of peace and hope. We watched on Saturday and Sunday so that was pretty much our weekend. Here is a picture of us on the couch. No makeup and in pajamas! It's always fun to be able to spend so much time as a family.

First Snow!

Last night it started snowing and when we woke up this morning it was a winter wonderland! Emma was soooooo excited! She couldn't wait to go out and make snow angels. We had a busy morning, but as soon as we got home we dressed her in her warm clothes and headed out. She was a happy girl in all that white snow.

Another Whirlwind Roadtrip!

Last weekend Robert's brother Carl needed his help working on his building for his new business. We had been traveling every weekend for the past three weeks. At this point of my pregnancy I'm really done traveling. Sleeping in my own bed is hard enough let alone an air mattress. So, we worked out a plan that Robert's parents would pick him up Friday morning on the way to Utah and then Emma and I would drive down on Saturday pick him up and then head back to Rawlins. So, that's what we did. Robert and I were able to sneak a temple session Saturday afternoon at the Bountiful temple. That was a blessing. It was such a quick trip. Emma and I stopped by to see our friends the Nessens on the way. There was not a whole lot of time for pictures, but I did grab this one of Emma and Zoey.

 

Emma did great on the trip. She was so excited to see her friend Maggie and play with her cousins for a couple hours. This is the first Saturday we've been home in a few weeks and it's been so nice. Although, part of me doesn't know what to do with myself.

 

Baby Update

 

A quick baby update on our little guy.  Right now his name is Jakob David. I always say that could change when he is born, but I think we are pretty sure. We are busy getting his nursery ready. He is pretty active and seems to kick and squirm quite a bit. I love that. I love to feel him move. Emma is super excited and keeps asking why it's taking so long. I have been sick with a terrible cold/throat virus thing for over a week now. It is making my life a little miserable. However, I am glad that the pregnancy is going so great so far. I have my 28 week labs on Tuesday. That is about it. There is not much to say at this point. Just getting ready and super excited for December! :)

Engineering Float Trip

 

On August 10th Emma and Robert went on a float trip with Robert's engineering department. I didn't go on the float trip. I didn't think it would be too comfortable being so uncomfortable and hot. I rode up with another wife and good friend of mine to join in the picnic after. Emma had a blast with Daddy. She also had her friend Noah there to play with. It was a fun day for them.

 

 

 

She was super tired and hungry when they all were done. When she saw me she ran to me and fell and skinned her elbow. Poor thing! We found a band aid and then she was fine and ready for lunch. She loves watermelon!
