It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas .. .

We have been very busy around here with our favorite time of year. First, we are almost ready to mail our Christmas cards.

Here is Emma stuffing treat bags for our "Movie Night Neighbor Gifts."

Here they are! I'm so excited to mail out and deliver!

Here is Emma getting ready to mail her letter to Santa! This is the first year she has written a letter. She is so excited!

Putting the letter in the mailbox!

On a not so fun note. Our Jakey has been sick :(. Poor guy. We all had been sick over Thanksgiving and then on Wednesday he started to get sick again. On Thursday he was acting strange very fussy and not wanting to drink anything. I had a very strong feeling I needed to take him to the doctor. Our clinic in Laramie was able to get us in to the last appointment so we rushed over. He ended up with a bad ear infection in his right ear and RSV ( a respiratory virus.) It's been a rough weekend but luckily he did not get as sick as some kids with RSV. He is still not feeling great but I think in the next couple of days he will start to feel better. Here he is eating a popsicle to try and get some more fluids in him. I hate it when my babies are sick!

11 months!

Our Jakob turned 11 months on the 20th. I can't believe how fast his 1st year has gone! He is our happy curious little buddy! Here is what Jakob has been up to.

  • He is cruising around furniture.
  • He can stand on his own for a few seconds.
  • He is getting more and more of an appetite for all sorts of foods. He actually loves pizza or anything with tomato sauce. Plus, lots of other things.
  • He has 5 teeth and almost one more.
  • He gets super excited to see any of us in his family. He loves when Daddy or Sissy come home.
  • He gets really excited whenever it's time for him to nurse.
  • He has the best smile. I love when he is crawling around playing. He will continually look over at me with a big smile!
It is so hard to get him to sit still for these pictures. So here is the best of what I could get!

Happy Thanksgiving!

We had a good Thanksgiving with Grandpa and Grandma Wilhelm this year! Jakob wasn't super thrilled about taking pictures. It was a fun time and then on to Black Friday shopping! On Saturday we decorated the Christmas tree. I'm so excited the Christmas season is upon us! These pictures were taken on my phone and didn't turn out great.

Trip to Primary Children's

Our little Jakob has a cyst on his eyebrow that needed to be looked at. So on Sunday we headed to Salt Lake for an appointment on Monday at Primary Children's Hospital.  Good news! The cyst is not harmful and is called a dermoid cyst and for right now does not need surgery. We had a fun quick trip as a family. Robert's work lets us stay and eat at Little America for free if we have a medical appointment. Super nice!

Jakey double fisting his grilled cheese!

Eating lunch at Little America!

Emma has been wanting a Sleeping Beauty's Palace Pet from Build-A-Bear so she did some chores and saved her money. Monday morning we rode the train to the Gateway Mall so Emma could get her Palace Pet.

Happy Halloween!

We had a super fun Halloween! Emma had the day off of school so we had lunch at Pizza Hut then went home to get ready for the big night! We trick or treated downtown, at the Rec Center, and around our neighborhood. Super fun family time!

Little Jakey

Here are a couple pics of our cute Jakey I've taken lately. I caught climbing on top of his toy to get to the hope chest. He's into everything, but he's so cute!

We were staying with Carl and his family this last weekend and I found Jakob sleeping sitting up and uses his ducky has a pillow. He is so funny!

Halloween Festivities!

We have been having all kinds of Halloween fun this week. We have been carving pumpkins, trunk or treating, and Emma had her class party.

We had so much fun carving. Emma picked a bat and Robert also did another pumpkin with a haunted house.
