Back to School Picnic

The day before Emma started school we met Daddy at a park in Sinclair and had a little family picnic. It was fun and quick, but we took time to fly a kite. It was so fun!

My little man is 8 months old! Slow down! It's just going to fast! This little guy is mobile and crazy. He gets a big smile on his face every time he sees me. It's so cute. He loves to laugh at his sister. His laugh I think is my favorite sound in the whole world. Here are all the fun things that Jakob is doing.

The other night he was crying as Robert handed him to me I swear he said Mama. So cute!
He is not sleeping through the night. He stopped taking his binky and has started to use me as a pacifier. Oh, we have to stop this. I'm exhausted!
He is eating more and more solid foods. It's been a little slow. He is really getting the hang of it though. He loves apples and oatmeal! That's his fave!
He is a major Mama's boy. He gets so excited when he sees me. It's really pretty adorable!

Our Labor Day Weekend

We had such a fun weekend. On Friday afternoon we headed to Utah. Our first stop was Uncle Carl and Aunt Laurie's house. We dropped off the tile house and a yummy homemade pizza dinner. Then about 9 we headed down to Payson to see our friends the Waltons.

Saturday morning Robert and I headed to the Provo temple. It was a beautiful day at the temple. I love my friend Ashley for watching our kids. She lives down the street from the Payson temple. I can't wait for it to be finished and we can just walk from her house to go to the temple. After the temple we hung out and visited with our friends. Then they headed to a party and we headed out to do some shopping. It was so fun to be out shopping with my family. We went to the mall, Petsmart, Target, and had dinner at Five Guys Burgers. I love the University Mall! It had all of my favorite stores. I could do some serious damage there. :)

After our shopping adventures we headed back and had so much fun visiting with the Waltons. On Sunday we went to church and then headed home. It was such a fun trip!

At Petsmart we bought a new betta fish. About a month ago Emma's friend Bailey gave her a Betta fish since she was moving. Sadly Bailey the fish (she named her fish after her fish after her friend) died the day we left for Utah. So we bought a new one and few new supplies.

First Day of Kindergarten!

I can't believe this day has finally come. Emma started school today. She did wonderful, and told me after that she had "so so much fun." We started out the morning with chocolate chip pancakes. Then off to school we went. Daddy took some time off this morning so he was with us. Emma's teacher is Mrs. Long and she is awesome! I'm super excited about her and I think she will be a great teacher for Emma. She was so excited that she had her very own lunch in her lunch box. It broke my heart to leave her there and I held in the tears until after we left. Then they flowed. After about 10 minutes I was okay. She is a big school girl now. I can't believe it.

After we dropped her off we headed over to Denny's for a little breakfast. We couldn't tell if we were celebrating or commiserating. :) Jakob loved him some orange juice and then we dropped Daddy off at work. It was a great memorable day!

Kindercamp

Our school here does a little kindergarten camp before school starts. They basically go Mon-Thurs for 2 hours a day in their classroom. She had a lot of fun, but was a little more nervous than I thought she would be. On the second day I showed up after a friend of her's mom did and she was very nervous that I wasn't coming. Even though I was totally on time. I assured her not to worry and that I would be there. Overall it was a great experience and she has a great teacher! We are super excited for kindergarten!

Eating lunch. She was not a fan of the hot lunch. She loves her PB&J. So I think I will be packing her a lunch most days.

7 1/2 Months!

Our Jakey is 71/2 months now! We were in Portland for his actual 7 month birthday and I finally got around to taking his pictures. He is getting so big and doing so much. He rolls all around and is almost army crawling. He tries so hard to move his body to get to those toys. He is sitting up, but doesn't really sit for a long time before falling over. He loves his Mama and gets very excited whenever he sees me. He also loves to laugh and play with his sister. He loves to be tickled especially around his neck. He is very busy and loves to have something in his hands to play with or put in his mouth. He is still nursing great, but isn't really into solid foods. His favorite is oatmeal mixed with warm apple juice. He doesn't really get too excited about anything else. He is such a fun boy and we love him so much!
