School Picture

Here is Emma's school picture. I think it turned out super cute! It did not scan well. So, that is why it is positioned funny.

Ward Christmas Party!

We had a weekend full of Christmas parties. Saturday night was our ward's Christmas party. Emma was a donkey in the nativity and then it was Santa time! I knew she was enjoying the desert, when she made everyone laugh, by telling me "Mommy there's a party in my tummy."

The day after the party I asked Emma if she had fun talking to Santa. She said, "yeah, but I don't think he was the real Santa." I said why? Then, she said, because his mustache wasn't real." She has always been very observant and does not miss much. I told her that he was one of Santa's helpers and she seemed fine with that.

Emma and her friend Kate. I kept trying to get a good one, but Kate liked to blink.

Here she is being a Mama cheetah. She loves Cheetahs. She asked Santa for a BIG stuffed Mama cheetah.

Sinclair Christmas Party

Robert had his work Christmas party tonight. Sinclair put on quite the shin-dig! There were over 700 people in attendance. When we got there it was super packed, but we were able to find some seats next to our neighbors and some friends from our ward. We had appetizers and salad, some of the leaders of the company spoke, then they served dinner. After that we got our picture taken, had dessert, and a band from Texas started to play. I guess it was Clint Black's brother's band. No dancing for us though. We stayed for a few songs and then decided to head home. Sinclair spoiled us by sending us home with Christmas ornaments, a ham, a box of chocolates, and 50 bucks! I also won our table centerpiece. Pretty fun! Emma had a great time playing at a friend's house while we were at the party. I wish I would've taken more pictures, but I loved that I was able to see and talk to a lot of friends that I haven't seen in quite a few weeks with the pregnancy and resting.

Quick Baby Update

My pregnancy has been going pretty good. Last Friday we ended up in the hospital for the day with false labor. What a day! The contractions finally stopped, but it wasn't too fun. Since then I've just had the normal Braxton hicks. I went to the doctor yesterday feeling pretty good. My blood pressure was surprisingly higher than it has ever been at that office. Not scary high, but it caused a little concern. The doctor talked about moving my C-section up. He did some lab work and I got the call today that everything looked stable. So, now I just have to go back on Monday for another check-up. They monitor the baby by doing a non-stress test. He is always doing great! So, for now Friday is still the plan, but really any day could be the day. Here is a fun pregnant picture.  I don't love these, but Robert think it will be good to have. I look at this and think, Oh my goodness!

Our Thanksgiving Weekend

We had a great Thanksgiving weekend. It was pretty low key. Thanksgiving was spent watching the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade, and starting to put up our Christmas tree. Then we went to our friends the Sulzs for dinner. Emma had so much fun playing with her friends, the food was great, and we had a great time with our friends. We played games, chatted, and had some yummy pie.

On Friday we put up more Christmas decorations and went to see Frozen. It was such a cute movie. Emma loved it and we had a great time! We also went Shopko and did a little Black Friday shopping. Saturday and Sunday I wasn't feeling very well so I did a lot of resting while Emma and Robert did things around the house.

It was a great Thanksgiving!

Emma's Thanksgiving Lunch

Emma's school had a Thanksgiving lunch and program for all of the families.  She was soooo excited for us to come. The kids sang some songs and then they had a lunch for everyone. Emma did so good with her songs. She was practicing for me all week and was so excited about singing them. We took videos of two of them. She had so much fun!

Here she is right before I took her to school. My videos would not upload, but here are some pictures of her performance. She sure loves to sing and dance!

Happy Thanksgiving!

After she sang we had to rush off to Laramie for my OB appointment. My blood pressure has been really good and all of my labs are staying in the normal range. The Dr. did a growth ultrasound. We didn't get a picture so I don't have one to post :(.  Not only is the baby growing, but it looks like he could be a big baby. My C-section is scheduled for December 20th. 3 weeks and counting! I can't wait! I'm so excited! I actually had a dream last night that the Dr. delivered him and then said he wasn't ready and put him back. Oh, I think I'm going a little crazy.

Baby update and sick little girl!

So, as many of you remember when I was pregnant with Emma I was diagnosed with Preeclapsia at about 30 weeks. Well, at about the same time with this pregnancy my blood pressure started to get a little high. So, for the last 2 1/2 weeks I've been on semi-bed rest. Basically I need to be laying down and resting most of the time unless Emma needs me. I still take her back and forth to preschool, but am resting most of the time. It is helping and my blood pressure has stayed down. My labs are still normal so I technically don't have preeclampsia. I'm sure the rest is helping with that. So, basically I get pretty bored and frustrated, but I just try to remind myself that being on bed rest is better than having my baby born too early. He is doing great though. He moves around great.

My poor Emma has had a rough weekend. She woke up at about 1 am saying she didn't feel good and then a half hour later started throwing up. That kept up until about 530 and then more sickness at about 1030 this morning. My poor baby was pretty miserable. I'm glad Robert was home to help me. It was definitely a blessing that it happened on the weekend. She's already back to her normal happy self. What a weekend. Things might be pretty boring around here until baby boy arrives. I'm doing all of my Christmas shopping online and Robert has been a great help at keeping up with things.

Halloween Fun!

We had a great Halloween this year! Since I am on partial bed rest it was pretty simple, but we had fun. Emma and Daddy carved pumpkins.

Last week was the Trunk or Treat at church. Emma was very excited to wear her Merida costume.

Halloween day was busy and fun. I tried to rest as much as I could, but we decided to go to Pizza Hut for a Halloween lunch.

Then as soon as we got home we had to race to get ready for Halloween at preschool.
Such a beautiful Merida!

After school my friend Mindi took Emma trick or treating downtown. Then we had some chili and Daddy took Emma trick or treating around the neighborhood. I joined in at the end when we drove around to a few friends house. We had a great Halloween. I loved handing out candy and just enjoying the excitement of the night.
