Emma-isms!

Emma is such a funny girl lately. She says things and it just cracks me up! Some of my favorites are:

• Excuse'm (When she needs to see excuse me.)
• Mommo (Movie)
• Happy Day! (for Happy Birthday)
• I you aaaah. ( I love you)
• I want d'boo! (for anything she see's that's blue)
• What's that Mommy? (This happens about 100 times a day)
• She wants to do and have everything that is opposite of what you want her to do or have. If I say come this way, she says that way!
• She loves her friends and she loves to play!
• She has this really cute pouty face she will do whenever she is tired, wants attention, or is mad.
• When she is tired, watch out!
• She loves Dora and Princesses.
• Every day she finds a new toy to get attached too and it goes with us everywhere.
• Twinkle Twinkle Little Star is her favorite song and every night when she is going to bed she says. "I want Stars." She also loves "I Am a Child of of God." We sing both,  usually a few times.
• She still loves movies and usually has to watch one every day.
• She loves animals.  Horses seem to be her particular favorite lately.
• She is getting to be a pickier eater. It's getting harder and harder to make sure she eats good. If she doesn't eat good , she doesn't sleep good and then I hear early in the morning. "Mommy, I hungy,"
Overall she is a happy spunky little girl who loves to laugh, have fun and be around people!

Wilhelm Family Reunion

We were able to make it to about 2 hours of the reunion at Bear Lake this summer since we happened to be moving during the reunion and coundn't do it at any other time. Here are some pictures that Denise took. I'm so grateful she took such great pictures. I even got to play with her awesome camera a little bit and. It was so fun! Keep in mind we woke up at 4 in the morning after moving and cleaning all day yesterday unitl late in the night. Then we drove 4 hours. So, I really don't look my best here. It was good to see everyone though.

Engineering Float Trip

Last Saturday Robert's Engineering Dept. had a float trip down the Platte River. I wasn't going to take Emma because I didn't think she would last for 2 hours on a raft, but Robert's boss and Robert really wanted us to come. I decided to try it and Emma did great! We had a few moments where she was getting a little bored, but we had squirt guns, candy, and of course there was a lot to look at. Not everyone from his Dept. made it, but it was fun to get to know the people he works with. We rode in a raft with his boss and he is so nice and loved having Emma on the raft.

Settling In

So, we are settling in to our new house. We moved in about a week and a half ago, but because we are painting almost every room the settling in part is taking extra long. I sort of feel like this is the move that will never end. Luckily we have awesome friends here who have been helping out lots. Especially with Emma. I have tons more pictures and things to post about from this summer. It has just been so busy I haven't even had time to blog about the busyness. My friend Kristi is a photographer and while Emma was at her house playing she took this picture of her. I love her work and you will probably be seeing lots more of it on this blog.

Moving Pains and Tender Mercies

We are getting ready to move this weekend unfortunately we still haven't closed on our house. Nothing major has happened to mess things up. It's just taking forever. Everything is taking longer that it's supposed too. It wouldn't be such a big deal except Sunday is the last day to be in the house were in because the new owners are moving in on Monday. So, we are staying in a corporate furnished apartment that costs $50 a day. I just looked at and it's really nice which is definitely a tender mercy. Hopefully we will close at the latest being next Friday. We were going to have to rent a storage unit to put all of our stuff into, but it looks like we can put it into the garage of our new house. Yay! Huge blessing! So, I'm exhausted and trying to finish up the packing so tomorrow we can move and clean. We have been really blessed to have such good friends who have helped with Emma and everything else!

The 4th of July and other Summer Activities

We have been having a great summer so far! We had a really good 4th of July with friends from our ward. We went to a barbecue and then watched fireworks with the Foiles.

A couple of weeks ago we had dinner with the Goolds. They have been such good friends to us. They have a cute little girl named Camila who is Emma's age.

Girl's Night Out! On Friday night some friends and I went to go see Harry Potter. I'm really blessed to have the friends here that I do! I don't love this picture because I look so short. I'm a step down from everyone else and I just look funny.

We also went to a carnival on 4th of July weekend. Emma loved all the colors and lights. She really loved riding this little train.

Emma's Swimming Lessons

Emma did great at her swimming lessons. She loves to swim and play with other kids. It was nice because they have this nice tot dock so I didn't have to get in the water with her. I liked this because I feel like she listens to the instructor better when she isn't with me in the water.  She did great! I'm so proud of her!
