A Visit From A Good Friend

Our friend David who has been in training for the army stopped by for a visit! It was so good to see him! We went to dinner and then he stayed the night with us before heading to Kemmerer. We hope to see him again before he goes back to Missouri for more training.

Easter Eggtravaganza!

We had a great Easter celebrating the birth of our Savior! Emma had a Easter egg hunt at school. She even made her own little cute Easter basket (She insisted on her head band being on her forehead).

Then on Saturday we drove over to Saratoga for an Easter egg hunt at the Saratoga Resort and Spa. Emma found a few eggs. We didn't really know the right place to look, but next year we should be golden!

Then that night we colored eggs at home! It was a fun family activity!

The next morning was Easter basket time and then church! Emma did not want to wear the cute Easter dress I bought for her. So she picked a light pink one. I was recovering from the stomach flu so I completely forgot to get pictures.

Then after church a little hunt in the backyard.

Birthday Girl!

Emma is 4! I can't believe it! She had a great birthday! She was sooooo excited and couldn't wait for the day to come! We started out the day waking up to presents! She found her scooter from Grandpa and Grandma and then got to open her first present, the movie Brave! She loves Brave and the princess Merida. She requested to have a special "Brave" party. Then we had to frost cupcakes and get ready for her party that afternoon at McDonalds! She had tons of friends come and had a blast with all of them. The kids ate hamburgers, fries, cupcakes and took home a fun little goody bag!

They had a little birthday party for her at school. Her teacher gave her some Cinderella Squinkies!

Yay! New scooter!

Presents!

She was so tired at then end of the day she fell asleep with her Merida doll in her Merida dress.
What a great day!

Rest and Relaxation

There is one benefit that for two days a year makes living in Rawlins totally worth it. The R&R benefit. After you work for the company for two years you get 2 days free at any of their resorts, for example Little Americas, Grand America, Snow Basin, and Sun Valley. After we work at the company for 5 years we get 5 days. It is so fun! Robert really wanted to go skiing so we decided this year we would stay at the Grand America and then ski at Snow Basin. All of this including our meals is payed for by the company! So we had a blast. These first pictures are pictures of our awesome room. We had two beds, a living room, balcony, huge bathroom, and access to everything in the hotel! I felt really really spoiled.

The first night my cousin Scott and his wife Brooke watched Emma for us. It was so nice of them. Emma had fun and did really well overnight. I'm kind of sad because I totally forgot to get pictures. Emma had a great time and we had fun shopping downtown and eating a really nice dinner. The next day we went up to Snow Basin. I have no desire to down hill ski. Even the thought of it terrifies me. Robert loves to cross country ski so we started out doing that, but the trail wasn't great for beginners and Emma wasn't loving it. So we gave up pretty quick on that. Unfortunately the tubing was closed and they didn't have snow shoes to fit Emma. Crazy enough we never really got bored. The lodges were awesome and beautiful. We rode the gondola once. Robert cross country and down hill skied  We had a great time!/ I would totally go again, not ski, and have a great time! Robert really enjoyed the opportunity to ski for free!

Emma attempting to cross country ski. So cute!

Hanging out in the lodge!

Riding the Gondola!

We ate both nights at this really nice restaurant at the Little America.

The next day sadly we had to leave. On our way home we stopped to see my cousin Adam's new baby, Noah.  I forgot to get pictures again so I stole this one from Facebook. What a cute family!

After that we went to see Robert's brother Carl and his family. Emma loves playing with her cousins. This is her and her cousin Alice being pretty princesses.

It was a great trip and I can't wait for next year!

Time Out For Women!

I forgot to mention another awesome thing that happened in February! I was able to get away and have a girls weekend with my good friend Amber Nessen. Time Out For Women was great and really uplifting. My favorite part was Hilary Weeks. I love her music and listening to her sing. We shopped, had great meals, and listened to awesome speakers at the conference. It was a fabulous time!

Our Crazy February!

Our month of February was great and hard. We were able to do some fun things, but we also dealt with lots of sickness. Oh well, it was fun anyways. We celebrated Valentine's Day and my Birthday. We were able to go on a fun trip to Denver and spend lots of time as a family.

We had a great Valentine's Day with our good friends the Nessens. I wish we would've have took more pictures but Amber made a yummy dinner and cake. It was a great time!

My birthday was the next day. Unfortunately I didn't get any pictures. I woke up to birthday decorations and cards on the table for me. Robert had an appreciation lunch for work that day so we were able to go and have fun at that. Then the next day we went to Casper to do some shopping and we went to lunch at Red Lobster. It was a fun birthday even though I wasn't feeling well. I found out the next week that I had an ear infection and a sinus infection.

That next week after my birthday Robert had a training in Denver so Emma and I went with him to have some fun. We stayed at a Marriot, went swimming, went to the Children's Museum, and went shopping.

Emma had so much fun at the Children's Museum.

Swimming at the hotel!

This one we took tonight. She fell asleep watching a movie. She's getting so big!
