More Pictures!

Here are some more pictures of our little Emma! Things are going well. She had some jaundice, but is now off the light bed. We have some feeding issues. In the hospital we had some breast feeding issues, but she did okay. They gave me a feeding tube and syringe to go home with in case she wouldn't nurse, and ever since we came home I've only gotten her to nurse twice. We tried the feedig tube and it seemed to work, but now in the last 24 hours have started her on the bottle with pumped milk. I went to see my OB yesterday and she suggested that I take a break and start the bottle. She said she is either going to nurse or she's not and she is still getting the exact same nutrients from the bottle. The nurse thinks that part of the problem is my milk production is too low and she can't get enough fast enough and gets really frustrated. They might put me on medication to make it better. Right now I'm barely pumping enough for her to eat and sometimes have to supplement with formula. It has probably been the most frustrating and sad thing. I still try to nurse at almost every feeding, but she just gets so frustrated. On a happy note! She is a very good baby and hardly ever fusses. She is such a sweet baby and is already such a blessing to us. Here are some pictures that we have taken. The light bed looks absolutely terrible, but she actually slept pretty much the whole time while she was on it. It was such a blessing. I was really worried about it. She got herself into some really cute positions. Enjoy the pictures!

Interesting Times

Well, I know you all were planning on seeing some baby pictures, but not yet. I spent all of Monday night, Tuesday and Wednesday in the hospital being induced and nothing happened. I guess my body just wasn't ready to go into labor. My preeclapsia is hanging in their for right now, so for now we'll just see what happens. I go to the doctor again tomorrow and I get to redo all of the lab work again. I have to say I'm kind of sick of being poked and prodded and not getting a baby. They said they won't let me go past my due date so I guess we'll see what next week brings. That's all I really have for now. I'm still on bed rest. I hope the next time I post it will be with baby pictures!

Another exciting day!

First, I feel bad that I've had so many posts lately without any pictures. Tomorrow I'm going to try to post some pictures of my baby shower! So, here is the big story of the day. At 10:00 am this morning I started having contractions. They weren't really painful and I have had a lot of people tell me that these are normal and nothing to worry to much about. The weird thing was is that they seemed to be coming very fast. So, about 11:20 I started to time them just to see. Well, they were about 2 minutes apart and very consistent. I kept timing until about 2:00. They were starting to hurt, but not real bad. Just sort of like normal cramps. I decided to call the clinic just to make sure. They told me to go to the hospital. So, I called Robert and he came home from work and we got ready to go. We got up to OB about 3:30 and still they were very consistently 2 mins. apart. It was nice to have the moniter keep track of them for me. At 4:30 the Dr. came in to check me and I was only dialated between a 1 and a 2. By 6:00 my contractions had become a little more intense, but still really not that bad and I hadn't dialated any more. So we are home now. The Dr. gave me some pain medicine, but I'm still feeling the tightness frequently. We will see what happens, but the Dr. seemed pretty confident that this is just false labor. I was pretty dissapointed. I was excited that maybe I wasn't going to have to be induced, but I guess Heavenly Father has a plan. At least I know that Monday night is still happening and is getting closer!

Breaking News!

Okay, so I went to the doctor today and I finally have a day! I was really hoping she would check me and then send me to the hospital, but that might have been a little bit too optimistic. On Monday night at 5:30 we are supposed to go to the hopistal they are going to put somehting in my cervix to help me get ready. Then on Tuesday morning if I'm not already in labor they will induce me! I'm excited and I can't wait! I know Monday isn't really that far away, but for some reason it feels so far away. I'm not sure if I'll be able to post pictures until I get home, but I will try.

Good News!

I went to the doctor today and so far so good. I actually seem to be doing better then I was a few weeks ago. The doctor is planning on inducing me at 38 weeks, so only two more weeks! I'm very excited at the prospect of not being on bed rest anymore, and getting to have my baby! I'm also excited because she turned! The doctor even did an ultrasound to make sure. Her head was definitely down. I'm glad things are working out and going well. Two more weeks!
