Cade's Memorial

Unfortunately we got some bad news that my cousin Kelly's husband passed away on the 4th of July. He drowned in a terrible kayaking accident. His memorial service was on July 28th. My mom and sister came down for the service.

We were able to see Cade at the beginning of the summer. These are some pictures form that visit.

I actually didn't get any pictures of the memorial but it was a nice service.

Then we were able to spend time with my mom and Sister Sheena.

Story Time!

Playing with lipstick!

Saratoga Rodeo

We went to the Saratoga Rodeo together. It was so fun! We all wore our new cowboy boots!

Visit from Grammy

While Robert and I went to Minneapolis my mom stayed with the kids and visited for awhile after.

All the neighbor kids doing a lemonade stand. They are all such good friends and so cute!

While my mom was here we went to Cheyenne and visited our cousins Donna and Kelly.

We showed my mom Aspen Alley. Such a beautiful drive and beautiful place to visit.

It was a great visit!

Our poor Emma got sick while my mom was here and a couple of other times this summer. Those fevers sure get her.

Father's Day

While my mom was here Father's Day happened. I loved finding Robert playing with the kids on Father's Day. He is such a good Daddy! He has so much patience with Jakob when he wants to help him in all of his projects. He is always making sure Emma is loved. He always plays with her and checks in with her to see how she is doing. I am so grateful for him.

Sun Valley

We had a great little family vacay on the week of the 4th of July. We used our R and R benefit with Sinclair and went to Sun Valley Resort in Idaho. We had such a good time. Our room was amazing and we were able to do such fun things!

But first, we had a little hiccup. Our car was actually getting fixed in Evanston after Robert actually broke down there on his way back from getting it fixed in Salt Lake. We were able to get it fixed under warranty though. We still had to start our R and R in Salt Lake while they finished up the car. So the first night we were at the Grand America.

We stopped at Little America and played while we were waiting to hear about our car.

Room service at the Little America.

Riding o n the train to downtown.

Swimming!

Our little car they lent us from the dealership. As we drive away and head to Idaho!

Here are some pics of our room. It was HUGE! I loved the bathroom!

We had ice cream a couple of times at the ice cream shop.

They had a bowling and game center that was awesome! The kids loved it.

This was Jakob's ball and he stood and protected it. It was so funny!

There were so many great places to eat. We ate at a fun pizza place, a German café, a really nice steak house, and this was the pool side café. The pool was my favorite place it was so relaxing and fun.

Ice skating!

How fun a ice skating rink outside in the summer! Emma did so great and even Jakob tried to skate.

Cutest little skates ever!

We rented bikes and went for a bike ride around the resort. It was fun but Emma and I wanted to be done early and head to the pool, while Daddy and Jakey went for a long ride.

On our last night we went to a ice skating show and dinner. We had a great time and the show was awesome!

Our table

The ice before the show.

The amazing buffet dinner.

Waiting for the show to start. They gave us all blue and red light up necklaces.

Lots of awesome skaters!

There were fireworks after the show!

Emma with 2 of the skaters!

The next day we rode up the mountain on the gondola and had lunch.

On the night we ate at the steak house we ate outside and  had an amazing beautiful view.

There was a cute little pond in the front of the hotel. It had a swan that stayed there all the time. We named her Grace. It was such a peaceful place.
