Happy Birthday Emma!

Emma had a great birthday! She started off the morning with presents and chocolate chip pancakes! Then she watched Frozen and played with her new toys. About noon she got a big surprise when her best friend Maggie knocked on the door from Rock Springs! She was excited and seemed a little confused at first.

Jakob and Emma decided to go with Daddy on a quick errand.

Then a birthday lunch at Bucks with Maggie and Zoey. They brought Emma a huge brownie dessert! The girls loved it!

I look like such a dork in this picture, but it was too cute not to put in.

First Day of Spring!

3 Months Old!

I can't believe our little Jakey is already 3 months old! He is smiling a lot now and its pretty cute. He will also giggle and its so funny! He sleeps through the night or usually wakes up once. He smiles and laughs the most on his changing table. He must just be at a good angle to see us. He doesn't sleep great during the day. He usually wakes up after about a half hour or 45 mins. He is a fun lovable baby!

Today is the first day of Spring and we actually were able to go outside! Robert came home from work and said lets go on a walk and I said great idea! Of course we still had to wear coats and hats, but it was so nice to be outside with fresh air and sunshine!

Happy St. Patty's Day!

Great Weekend Away!

This last weekend we headed to Utah to do so many things! We left on Thursday night and meet our good friends the Nessens for dinner in Rock Springs then we headed to down to Payson to stay with our good friends the Waltons. First thing on Friday morning we took the kids to Payson to get their pictures taken. (Thanks Jamie for telling us about Fotofly!) They did a great job! Here are Emma's 5 year old pictures and Jakob's 3 month pictures.

While we were waiting for our pictures we went to lunch at Chick-fil-A. I was so impressed by this Chick-Fil-A. They had great service and it was really nice. I think I'm a little deprived here in Rawlins.

Then we did a ton of errands and shopping. It is always so hard trying to get everything done in a short amount of time. The next day Robert and I went to the temple in the morning (note to self bring pre-pumped milk for Jakob). We had a little bit of a disaster, but it worked out. Then hung out with the Waltons in the afternoon. That evening we went to Firehouse Subs and met my cousin Adam and his family.

Jamie, Noah, Adam, Steven, and Us. (Jakob is in his carrier and you can just barely see it.)

Ashley, Jake, and I

On Sunday we drove over to Layton went to church and visited Robert's brother Carl and family. Then we headed home. It was a fun busy weekend.

Smiley Boy!

Jakob had his first smile at about 8 weeks, but didn't really start to smile a lot until the last week and a half or so. He smiles mostly on his changing table and right before he knows he is going to eat. It's pretty funny! I love to see him smile. I grabbed my phone and snapped these pictures and the turned out so grainy. He has the cutest little crooked smile.  At least I finally got his smile on camera :).

Some More Everydaynesses!!!

Here are some pictures I took with my phone that I wanted to get on the blog. Jakob is getting so big, so fast! These are a few weeks old. He has already changed so much. He was probably 8-10 weeks in these pictures.

Emma LOVES her brother! She loves to hold him and does a really good job!

2 months!

Jakob is 2 months old! I can't believe it! He had his appointment and he is doing great! He weighed 12lbs 2oz. He is in about the 60th percentile for his weight.  Emma was not happy about him getting his shots. After the nurses left she said "Why did you let them do that!" Then she gave him a hug and said, "I'm so sorry that happened Jakob." It was so cute how protective she was.  He started smiling about a week ago. He doesn't smile a ton though. He was very interested in the light from the window instead of me in these pictures. We love him so much! He is so fun. He sometimes sleeps through the night. He usually will go 4-5 hours though.

Here he is in his cute little hat!
