Summer So Far!

On Memorial Day we went and had a fun picnic at the park. Emma loves to swing! I think she would probably sit in that thing all day!

Grandpa and Grandma come to visit. It's funny how my parents ended up coming at around the same time. Grandma came first. Emma loves her and they have so much fun together! Then, Grandpa came for a short little visit! It was fun seeing my parents. My dad lives in Arkansas and my Mom is moving to Mesquite,NV so I don't get to see them very often.

Last night, we had a huge thunderstorm. It was hailing, and constant thunder and lightning. After it passed us we could still see all of the lightning in the distance. The whole sky would light up. Here is a picture that I snapped.

Sick Baby

About a week ago my poor baby got pretty sick. It started on a Friday, a fever. It seemed to continue to get worse. By late Saturday afternoon her fever
was around 103. Then, that night we had a huge scare when her fever got to 105. I quickly called the doctor on call at 1:30 am and she assured me that Emma was ok and told me some things to get the fever down. It came down pretty quicly to about 102. It stayed at least there or higher until Monday morning. We took her to the doctor and found out that there was a virus going around with high fevers. She said when the fever went away she would probably get a rash. Which she did. It didn't seem to bother her though and went away in about 24 hours. Saturday I started feeling sick so we pretty much just hung out in my bed for a couple of days.

This is early Saturday afternoon. Emma's fever hadn't gotten too high yet, so she decided she wanted to help bake muffins with Daddy.

My poor baby. In this picture her fever was around 104 and when she saw the camera she still smiled. What a wonderful girl!

She really didn't let me out of her site starting Saturday morning. She wanted to sleep right on me for most of the time. I loved how cuddly she was and how much she needed me.

She slept in our bed for two days. It was kind of fun.

Backtracking!

I realized there were some blogs that never got done and since I use this as a scrapbook/journal and do a book at the end of the year I wanted to make sure these got done. A couple months ago we took Emma swimming. At first she wasn't too excited, but then she started liking it more and more. Even though in these pictures she doesn't look very happy. She was kicking, squealing, and having fun!

One Year Old!

Emma turned 1 on the 22nd! It's hard to imagine that she used to be that tiny little new born. She isn't quite walking on her own yet, but is getting closer. She is still a very happy little girl. She loves to play and get into things. When you ask her a question she will answer by saying, "Yeah"! It's pretty cute! She loves her Daddy and cries every morning when he leaves for work. She can be pretty cuddly and if I'm lucky I might even get a kiss. Bananas are ablsolute favorite food and would probably eat one with every meal if I let her. She squeals in delight when I give her one. I have to hide them during the day because if she sees one. She goes crazy until she gets it. She is such a wonderful, happy, lovey little girl.

Her 12 month stats are:
Height: 29 1/4 inches 50th percentile
Weight: 21 lbs 3 ozs 50th percentile
Head: 47 cm 92nd percentile (She has a little bit of a large head, but it's so cute!

We had her birthday party on Saturday the 20th. I love having parties and her's was really fun! Here is all of the decorations. I love this part!

We got these little party hats, but the kids didn't really like them that much. It was funny. Emma looked so cute in hers.

Opening presents! Emma wasn't too interested in this. Especially after she opened her blocks. She just wanted to play with them. It was so funny! I kept having to pull her back to open other presents.

The cake! She really ate it like a little lady. She didn't dig into it and hardly got messy at all. She seemed to like it though.

Build-A-Bear
Emma received a gift card from her Grandpa and Grandma for Build-A-Bear. It was so much fun to take her. She didn't really know exactly what was going on, but we would hold 2 different things up for her to choose from, and then she would grab one of them. It was prety cute! She picked out a really cute bunny with different color flowers on it.

Emma loves music so she picked out a birthday song for her bunny to play when you squeeze it's hand. She loved this sound board and probably would have stayed there all night pushing all the different buttons. They also gave her a little ribbon with a sticker that said it was her birthday.

Here she is stuffing her bunny. She needed Daddy's help to push the petal, but it was so cute!

Yeah! It's all stuffed!

Here she is giving it a bath!

Now what will my bunny's wardrobe be?

Here are her and Daddy making a birth certificate and naming her bunny Snuggles!

Emma and Snuggles all ready for the ride home!

The Latest Excitement!

We moved! We are still in Larammie, but we found a 3 bedroom condo for a super great deal. It is newer and super nice. I have the biggest bathroom I've ever had and a walk in closet! It was absolutely amazing how things worked out to get this place. We looked at in on Wednesday, found someone to take over our lease on Thursday and moved on Satuday. I could just see how Heavenly Father put everything into place to make this happen! We are still unpacking, organizing, and getting settled. I hate this part. There is stuff everywhere and I just don't know what to do with it! It will be 2 weeks on Saturday since we moved and by then everything has to be done because we are having Emma's birthday party!

I can't beleive my baby is turning 1! It seems like just yesterday I was in the hospital trying to figure if we should do a C-Section or keep trying with the Pitosin. What an amazing year! I will soon post pictures of our new house and Emma's fun little party! I'm off to go do some more unpacking and get ready for my Mary Kay Success night tonight!

11 months!

My little Emma just turned 11 months! I really can't believe how big she's getting. She is such a happy baby and loves to play, take a bath, and just have freedom to go crazy with her toys. She does this cute squinty eyed smile where she scrunches her nose up. It's so hard to get a picture of, but it's so cute! She lovess her daddy and as soon as he gets home she wants nothing to do with me. It's kind of funny, but it kind of makes me sad sometimes. If you show her a doll or stuffed animal she grabs it and squeezes it really hard! So cute! She also has a blankie and can go to sleep so easily with it. She is a really fun baby that smiles all of the time and loves to play!

The other day we were getting ready to leave for church and we look down on the floor and she had fallen asleep with her blankie. It was so adorable!
