R and R Trip!

Great Hotel, Fun things, Room Service, Restaurants, and lots of time together!
We went Salt Lake and stayed at the Grand America for our R and R benefit from Sinclair. It is so nice to have room service, a beautiful room, and such great time with my family.

We left on Friday morning and headed to go to the Aquarium in Lehi. The kids were so excited! We didn't tell Emma until we got there. She was so happy and excited!

We didn't love this Aquarium as much as we did in Denver but the kids were excited. Jakob was so interested in everything. The shark tank was the best. They even had these cool sea turtles swimming around in it

After the aquarium we drove to the hotel and went to dinner. We discovered Jakob in a really nice restaurant is a little tough. He just did not want to sit still that long so we took turns taking him out.

The next day we ran some errands in the morning. We went to lunch at Little America and ate outside. It was beautiful and so fun! Then in the afternoon we went downtown to temple square and Deseret Book.

That night we opted for room service! The best thing ever! So nice to let Jakob just run around and not have to worry about him.

After dinner we went swimming! Beautiful evening, beautiful pool and a little chilly. My favorite part was the warm hot tub!

They were being alligators!

Bed time! So nice!

The next morning we were headed home when we learned that our best friends the Nessens were in Salt Lake too! We met them at Heritage Park and then went to lunch. Also, before we left we took a little tour of the gardens at the Grand America and took some cute pictures.

Tooth Fairy

I also forgot to blog about when Emma lost her first tooth. She left it under her pillow and the tooth fairy left her a nice letter and a dollar bill! This happened in July.

She has now lost both bottom front teeth.

Sinclair Picnic

I totally missed blogging about the Sinclair Picnic in July. We had a good time. Emma loves all of the fun activities for kids. She did the bouncy house and rock wall. Daddy tried the rock wall too. We had lunch and visited with friends.

The best thing that happened that day was Emma won a bike! Sinclair does lots of drawings and they give away 6 kids bikes. She won this and the helmet. She was soooooo excited! She wanted it so bad! It was definitely a little tender mercy with the rough summer we have had.

House Update

The house is slowly coming along. We had some roof drama. We ended up with a green roof that we had to change to black and supposedly that means that it extends our closing date out 2 weeks. The electrical is done inside and they are working on our siding and exterior. A little bit at a time.

Our Saturday was pretty low key. Robert is building some bunk beds for Emma's room and Emma and I went on a little date. I just can't wait for our house to be done!

First Day of School!

Emma was very excited for her fist day of school. She thrives in school and loves to learn and make friends. She was nervous on the first day and told me she had the jitters. Her teacher gave us a little poem to read the night before that talked about the jitters. She did great though and had a great day! We lucked out with another great teacher this year. It's going to be a great school year!

Here she is at her table. She was nervous and didn't want us to leave but she did fine.

Labor Day Weekend

Our Labor Day weekend was awesome! We were able to visit the Nessens in Twin Falls, ID. We got there late Friday night. Saturday morning Amber and I went to the temple. It was a great way to start the weekend. Then we did some quick shopping and went to Jamba Juice.

Then we went back, picked up everyone and went to the Shoshone Falls. They were so pretty!

Then we went to a brand new park where the kids had a great time! Then dinner and then the mall. It was a busy fun day!

Robert and I made a quick run to the grocery store on Saturday night and happened to find these.
So fun!

Time for a sleepover! Jakob didn't actually sleep there but he loved snuggling his sister.

Back to School Night and a Birthday Party

On the 3rd we had a busy night. Emma had her back to school night where we met her teacher and saw her classroom. She was very excited and her teacher, Mrs. Wagner was super nice!

After the school we headed to a birthday party. My friend Courtney celebrated her baby Treston's first birthday. They had horse rides and my kids loved it! Emma said it was the best birthday party ever!
