Florida Fun!

Over 4th of July weekend we went to Florida to see my Dad, Step-Mom, and Grandparents.  We flew out on Thursday the 2nd. The day turned into be quite an adventure. We were headed to our gate and since we had the stroller we took the elevator, we got on with 2 other people, pushed the button to go one floor up and got stuck. We were stuck on there for about 20 mins. The other people were flying to Cancun and almost missed their flight. Thankfully we weren't stuck for longer.  Then, it turns out our flight was quite the adventure. We were getting close to Orlando and I felt like we should have already been there. Finally the pilot came on and said we had been circling Orlando for 30 minutes but couldn't land because of thunderstorms in the area. We kept circling for a little longer and then they announced that we had to fly to Jacksonville and refuel. We were in Jacksonville for about an hour and then flew back to Orlando. We landed about 2 hours late in Orlando. We were glad to be there.

At the hotel the night before!

The next day we headed to the zoo in Jacksonville. Emma had so much fun and even Jakob was excited to see some of the animals.

The carousel was a hit!

Emma and her cheetahs. She is obsessed with them. The first time we walked by we couldn't see any so we went back at the end and we were able to see two one walking around and one laying down.
So happy!

The 4th of July!
We started out the day by heading to the beach and we had the best time! The kids loved the water and the sand. It was beautiful. Not too hot and so sunny!

Robert and I took a nice little walk around my Dad's condo.
So pretty!

After the beach Emma, Becky, and I went and did a little shopping. Then we grilled hamburgers and hotdogs for dinner. After dinner Robert and I took a little walk around the condos. A beautiful evening! Then we chased down some fireworks in downtown St. Augustine. We watched them right from the car and then got out quick to avoid major traffic.

On Sunday we went swimming at the pool and then went to see Grandma Joyce and Grandpa Harry.  Jakob loved Grandma!

On the way home are flight was uneventful. We ran some errands on the way home. We stopped at American Furniture Warehouse and the kids loved this big stuffed animal. They were a little crazy in there. It was a great fun trip!

Busy Bees!

We have been busy, busy, busy! Here are some things we've been up to. First off our house. What an adventure it has been. We had a little bit of drama last week because they forgot to add in a window in the basement. So now they will be cutting into the concrete, but I'm grateful we have our foundation poured. Hopefully framing will commence soon.

We were so excited to see forms poured! They were a long time coming!

Then came the foundation! After a very stressful morning of window debates.

Baseball!!!

This season has been fun and a little stressful. It rained all of May so we had to make all of the games we missed in June. So instead of 1-2 games a week it's been 3-4 games a week. It has kept us busy! Emma is having fun, but they use a pitching machine to pitch so not very many of the kids get hits. It makes the game not so fun. Because of this half our team has quit along with all of the assistant coaches so Robert and I are helping out coaching and that means Jakob hangs out in the dug out with me. He loves it! He also loves to try to run onto the field. When the kids are on the field he and I play catch. He can really throw the ball! Here he is trying out the batting helmet!

He loves to hang out with his Sissy!

Saturday night we went to the park so Emma could practice hitting. It was fun and of course Jakob had to be right in on the action!

Future pitcher!

Her swing has definitely improved!

Emma pushing her stroller with her cheetahs! I just loved this. It was so cute watching her walk down the street.

Swimming Lessons!

Emma has started swimming lessons again. She is doing so great. I feel like she is really learning to swim without her floaties. Which is great!

We went to see Inside Out on Saturday! Super cute movie! Luckily Jakob fell asleep.

Fun with Friends

We are lucky to have some great friends here. Even though they keep moving away! Last week we had a fun time at the park and said goodbye to the Dustins!

We went to dinner a couple nights before. Grateful for friends but sad to see them go.

Emma has been hanging out with the Ryerses a lot this summer. Going to the movies, and the park!
Friends are the best!

My Two Loves!

If Jakob wakes up first in the morning. He loves to go in and wake up his sister and give her snuggles!

Our fun Saturday adventures!

Our plan was to go hiking up near Encampment but couldn't exactly figure out where we needed to go so we decided to see what Aspen Alley looks like in the summer. We took a little nature walk up to it. So beautiful! We had a really nice drive through some beautiful parts of Wyoming. Everything is so green! Then we headed to Saratoga and had dinner at the Pizza place there. Fun family time!

Grandpa Dave came to visit!

Grandpa Dave came for a quick visit after his golf tournament in Saratoga. We went to dinner, showed him our lot, and practiced baseball at the park. It was a fun visit!

Baseball!

We have been spending lots of time at the baseball fields lately. Emma is loving it and doing really well. They use the pitching machine at her age and she had 3 hits. Jakob loves to play in the dirt and is super excited if he can get his hands on a baseball.

She didn't love playing catcher, but likes to do it once in a while.

He can't wait until it's his turn!
