One Month Old

 

Jakob is already 1 month old! He is a really good baby. He sleeps about 4-5 hours at night. He is a really good eater. It has been fun having a baby again. He hardly ever cries. Even when he wakes up he more just grunts and makes noises to let you know that he is awake. The only time he really cries is when he is getting his clothes changed. He does not like that. On Sunday he went to Sacrament meeting for the first time and slept in his carseat the whole time. We sure love him!

 

A Little Adventure

 

On January 3rd we had to go to Casper to take my Mom to the airport. Of course we didn't want to take the baby out, but because we live in a place with nothing I had to run a few quick errands. The plan was that Robert would stay in the car with Emma and Jakob and I would run in to a couple stores and then we would head home. The weather was beautiful when we left Rawlins, but the roads to Casper weren't great. Once we arrived it started to snow and we knew that we were staying the night. We found a good deal at the Baymont Inn, however the room was a little dirty. I was pretty freaked out. It was not the place I wanted to stay with my newborn baby. Luckily we had everything we needed for Jakob and just had to pick up a couple of things for Emma. The night went ok and we made it through. Emma thought the whole thing was super fun. I would've had more fun if Jakob was older and we had a nicer cleaner room. Oh well though it was an adventure! Robert grabbed this picture on our way out to the car. The roads were okish on the way home, but we made it safe and we were very grateful to be home!

Happy New Year!

Our New Year's was pretty uneventful this year. Daddy and Emma decorated the gingerbread house we never were able to get to. We picked up dinner to go from a local restaurant Then for the first time in many years I was actually sleeping when we rang in the New Year. I've been having to feed the baby a lot at night so I'm tired and getting all of the sleep I can. New Year's Day we pretty just hung out. Since my Mom is leaving soon we took some pictures and just relaxed.
